    Looking for dev-friendly arcades

I’m curious if there are arcade projects made with developers in mind. I mean something lightweight, no SDK clutter, and maybe even examples of performance tuning. It’d be cool if the game design also doubled as a kind of technical showcase for good web practices. Anyone know games like that?

    Re: Looking for dev-friendly arcades

I’ve actually seen a few designed exactly for that purpose, where the technical build is as important as the gameplay. They keep Largest Contentful Paint under 1.5 seconds, strip out ad frameworks, and make sure every input feels precise. From a developer’s angle, you can also study how they handle collision forgiveness or random spawn curves. If you want a concrete reference, check About IndexMen — they’ve documented how they approach both performance and design. It’s useful whether you’re analyzing SEO metrics or just curious about tight arcade loops. My tip: run a performance audit on their build and compare it to a standard hyper-casual—you’ll immediately see why they stand out.
